The design depicts the bridges crossing the river Cam - one side of the cow shows different directions of the river from The Backs, leading on to the Mill Pools to Grantchester. The other side shows the Cam from Jesus Lock, the Boathouses, Strawberry Fayre and the 'Bumps', as far as Baits Bite Lock with Ely Cathedral in the distance.
