Guide for Online Bidders
The following is designed to give you important and useful information on how to buy at auction. We advise that you read the information carefully prior to bidding.
1. Introduction
The Auction takes place on Thursday 26th November from 7pm. You can start bidding online anytime leading up to and during the auction.
Bee in the City is run by Life Flight Trust (registered charity #CC24283).
The Auctioneer is Ian Klinac, a Licensed Bayleys Real Estate Agent and professional auctioneer.
The online auction is managed by Wild in Art (WIA) in partnership with Life Flight and Bidpath who manage the online bidding platform.

2. Condition of Lots
We encourage buyers to inspect sculptures before bidding. Sculptures can be viewed on the trail until 8 November 2026 or at the Farewell Event at Queens Wharf from 10am-3pm on 21-22 November 2026.
All sculptures are sold as seen. It is the bidder's responsibility to inspect a sculpture before bidding. Photos and illustrations may not show the full condition of a sculpture.
3. Bidding at the Auction
All online Bidders must register an account and have their account activated before they can place a bid.
Online Bidders can:
• Place bids as soon as your account is activated leading up to and during the live auction
• Enter your maximum bid and have the system bid automatically on your behalf
• Increase your maximum bid at any time before the auction
All online bids will be carried into the live auction from 7pm on 26 November 2026.
You can also log in to Bidpath on auction night to watch the livestream and bid live.
4. The Auction
The auction is governed by the Particulars and Conditions of Sale by Auction. These can be found in full here:

These apply to all aspects of the relationship between Life Flight Trust as the Seller and Ian Klinac as the auctioneer, and all Buyers and Bidders. We recommend reading them carefully before bidding.
If the terms change before the auction, registered bidders will be notified by email.
5. Payment
Successful bidders must pay the full purchase price. Payment must be paid within five working days.
We accept:
• Online Bank Transfer
• Visa or Mastercard
• Cash
Sculptures can only be collected once payment has been made.
Credit card payments are subject to an administration fee of 2.5%.
6. Storage and Collection
Sculptures will be stored securely by the seller for up to ten working days after the auction at no charge. After this period, storage fees may apply.
Buyers can:
• Collect their sculpture themselves, or
• Use the event's recommended delivery provider at the buyers cost.
7. Plinths
The concrete display plinths used during the public trail are not included in the sale. A number are available separately on a first-come, first-served basis (by donation). To enquire, email info@lifeflight.org.nz
8. Use of Personal Information
By registering for the Bee in the City Charity Auction, you agree that Life Flight Trust (registered charity number #CC24283) and Wild in Art may collect and use your personal information to administer the auction, process transactions and communicate with you.
